Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Inside TV’ page has some updates on the third season of Lisa Kudrow’s ‘Web Therapy’, airing this summer on Showtime. Meg has a guest role in one of the episodes of her friend’s series. Meg and Lisa both starred in the movie ‘Hanging Up’ (2000) and Meg and Victor Gerber – who also seems to be in the same episode – were both in Sleepless in Seattle!
“(…) Believe the Skype: Lisa Kudrow’s Web Therapy will return to Showtime for a third season on July 22 at 11 p.m. In the 10 new episodes of the improvised comedy — which stars the former Friends actress as a self-consumed therapist who counsels patients via very brief video chats — Kudrow’s Fiona Wallice deals with the aftermath of husband Kip (Victor Garber) running off with his male campaign manager (Michael McDonald), and is investigated for campaign finance misconduct.

EW has learned that Steve Carell plays a romantic interest for Fiona who turns out be a quasi-religious cult leader, Billy Crystal pops up as the publicist of the book that she co-wrote with her mother, Chelsea Handler appears as Fiona’s ex-husband who, yes, is now a woman after gender reassignment therapy, Megan Mullally is the composer/lyricist of the planned Broadway musical, Sara Gilbert swings by as a distraught marketing specialist, and Project Runway judge/fashion editor Nina Garcia plays herself giving Fiona a makeover. As for previously announced guests, Meg Ryan assumes the role of a hoarder who has an unhealthy obsession with Kip, Jesse Tyler Ferguson pops up as a paranoid lottery winner, and Matt LeBlanc plays an online gambling addict.(…)”
