Even though Meg’s rep already denied the false wedding-rumors story twice, most news sources as usual simply took over the 100% fabricated story printed in the National Enquirer without checking any facts. In addition to Meg’s denial, John then also had his rep deny the false rumors. From Indiana’s Herald Times newspaper:
(…)’Elsner said Mellencamp was annoyed by the report because it was so “out there.” Some accounts on the Internet included reported reactions from family members and similar fiction.
“Basically it’s just another celebrity rumor and there’s no truth to it. They’re together, they’re in a relationship but they’re not talking about marriage. They’re happy where they are.” Elsner said’
Meanwhile, back in the ‘real’ world Meg accompanied John to ‘A celebration of life in memory of Bill Cook’ at Indiana University on Wednesday evening (thanks for the info, M!). And yesterday Meg was seen arriving at LAX airport.
